Site information

The festival site will open a day earlier this year – WEEKEND TICKET holders can now arrive from 12 Midday on Thursday 22 July. The site is open until lunchtime on Monday 26 July.

Gate Opening Hours:
Thursday 22: 12pm – 1am
Friday 23: 10am – 1am
Saturday 24: 10am – 1am
Sunday 25: 10am – 1am
Monday 26: please leave the site by lunchtime

FIRST AID is available 24 hours a day throughout the festival (see map in the Festival Programme). Anti mosquito sprays, etc, can be bought in the Garden of Delights and the Site Shop.

INFORMATION POINTS: There are two information points at the festival situated at the top and bottom of the site. These points will be selling the official festival programmes and will have large scale maps of the site for you to look at to help you find your bearings. Festival staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.

FIRES are not permitted. BBQs and camping stoves are.

WATER taps can be found in and around the site are supplied with mains water.

ALCOHOL: You are permitted to bring your own alcohol to Port Eliot Festival but this is only to be consumed on the festival campsite. Please only bring a reasonable amount with you, i.e. a maximum of around 12 beers and a bottle of wine per person. For health and safety reasons please do not bring any glass bottles, decant into plastic before you arrive.

LITTER is horrible! Please help us to be as GREEN as possible this year. There are many bins around the site separately labeled recyclables and non-recyclables, please endeavor to use these.

SHOWER facilities are in the camping field at a cost of £2. Please use sparingly.

DOGS Please do not bring a dog (guide dogs only).

SHOP There will be a shop on the site selling tobacco, toothpaste, midge spray, loo paper, mobile phone charging and other necessities. Opening times: 9am til late each day.

HOUSE TOURS In order for the village of St Germans to benefit directly from the festival and as a thank you for all their support, Lady St Germans is opening Port Eliot House to festival goers in aid of village charities on the Sunday of the festival from 11 – 2pm.

CHILDREN’S AREA The House of Fairy Tales will be running all day, with imaginative games, workshops, performances and storytelling. Please note: this service is neither a babysitting agency nor a crèche for tots.

TAXIS To get you to and from the site if you’re staying in the area, find local taxi firm numbers posted in the Site Office, in the Bar and on the blackboards by the Bowling Green.

SWIMMING POOL Sorry – this is strictly off limits during the festival thanks to the Nanny State.

WHEN YOU GO Please be sensitive to the residents of the village when you leave and remember to Leave No Trace.

Ben Moor returns to Port Eliot

His one-man show Colecanth was a great hit at last year's festival; now we're pleased to announce actor Ben Moor as a last-minute addition to our 2010 line-up. A star of The I.T Crowd and Knowing You…with Alan Partridge, Ben will be running a drama class in the Idler's Academy*.
