New performers now online

We’ve just added a string of new performers to the site, including Jung Chang, Luella Bartley, Romeo Stodart (The Magic Numbers), Queens of Noize, Ralph McTell and The Loose Salute.

Jung Chang is the internationally best-selling author responsible for exposing Communist China from beneath the veil to the Western world and beyond.

Luella Bartley is Designer of the Year 2008, whose designs adorn celebs like Lily Allen, Pixie Geldof and Sienna Miller. She’ll be doing a unique collaboration with British fashion icon Barbara Hulanicki, working together in front of a live audience for the first time to conjure up bespoke Saturday night out outfits.

Romeo Stodart is lead singer of Mercury Prize-nominated The Magic Numbers, whose happy, sun-kissed sounds have made them many a festival favourite. He’ll be doing a special acoustic set in the Caught By The River area.

Queens of Noize are a DJ duo from London’s trendy Shoreditch, who have been responsible for breathing new life into Camden’s cult Barfly venue as well as BBC 6 Music’s Saturday afternoon slot – not to mention inspiring the name for Pete Doherty’s second band, Babyshambles.

Ralph McTell has been an influential name on the UK blues and folk scene for four decades. His compelling performances blend traces of rock’n’roll, jazz and R&B, nestled alongside the esoteric sounds of jug band, ragtime and bluegrass.

The Loose Salute are a blissed out surf rock band with a country-twinged vibe, on the famous Heavenly Recordings label, who’ll be performing in the Caught By The River area.
