With stories of amorous canines, biblical heroes, would-be laundry workers and lonely lighthouses, listeners would be forgiven for thinking they’ve stumbled across a resurrected Roald Dahl who’s learnt to play guitar. Throw in the occasional head-banging homage to AC/DC and foot-tapping tribute to The Cure and you won’t want to miss a chord change of this helter-skelter trip through musical randomness.
